Confession: Obsession = Pretty Little Liars!

It's been too long since I have posted any of my innermost thoughts on this blog! I am here because I need to make a confession...

I’M STILL HERE, BITCHES. AND I KNOW EVERYTHING. —A

I am currently obsessing over the ABC Family TV show Pretty Little Liars. Pretty Little Liars began as Sara Shepard‘s bestselling eight-book series.  I haven't read the series but now I will HAVE to.

I blame Netflix for my current addiction. Netlix has enabled me to access the program and binge on PLL marathons.  I watched the pilot for season one on Saturday and I have not stopped. I am on episode 15. Last night I stayed up until 3AM indulging in my new fix!  On a "school night" mind you.  I wasn't TOO tired at work, but can hardly sit still waiting until the wee hours when our son is asleep so I can watch more. It's bad. Really bad. I probably need help.

I know that I am behind the times since the series is a few years old now - but I am hooked all the same.

I am not sure what demographic is targeted but as I mentioned:  I am hooked!  The fashion is fun too!  I try to convince myself that the look is too young for me but flipped that.  I justify my love for their fashion by talking myself into the fact that the girls are just dressing in a more sophisticated manner for their age.

Well I better get over this habit soon! I might try to bounce the names Alison, Aria, Emily, Hanna or Spencer as possibilities if we have a daughter in the future! OK, maybe not Spencer.

Please tell me that I am not the only one in the world sneaking in sips of Pretty Little Liar.

Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

I don't often get sick, which is a blessing in many ways. At this point in my life I do not need to take maintenance medications. That may not always be the case. It's hard not to worry when you don't have adequate coverage.  Medications can be very costly if you must purchase them without a prescription plan.

There are several scenarios where Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens may benefit you:

  • If you are uninsured
  • If your insurance doesn't cover ALL of your medications
  • If your insurance co-pays are too high

Walgreens Prescription Savings Club offers discounted prescription pricing for you and members of your family. For $35 a year, a family membership covers everyone in your immediate family. Your spouse, dependents under 22, and pets are ALL covered. If you don't need a family plan, you can join as an individual and only pay $20. Join and receive discount prices on your prescriptions.

Other benefits include:

  • Savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications
  • Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies
  • Bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services

Happy Anniversary [Not so Happy]

I had my 5 year work anniversary on January 16. Once upon a time working for companies that truly valued employee loyalty was not uncommon.  I've received many gifts in the past for each year of service: celebratory luncheons, mentions in company newsletters, a card, etc.  I am sure you all know of what I mean.

It's not that I ever expect anything, but the recognition and knowing that it's "the thought that counts" is what bothered me since my day came & went: Without mention.

Instead of sulking. I made my very OWN celebratory luncheon!  I treated myself to one of my favorite meals.  It was a big deal to me because I have been very strict on myself on my diet & my budget.  I splurged. I treated myself, congratulated mySELF on 5 years of wonderful service to my job.

I felt much better.

Sushi made it better.

Welcome 2012 | First Blog Post This Year

I did not make any New Years Resolutions.  Not that I have anything against them or those who make them.  It just seems like such a daunting thing to me.  I have my mini resolutions that I tackle on an everyday basis.  I face tasks as a mom, as an employee, as a wife...you get the picture.  I am goal driven and do my best every day.  My "best" may mean that a lot gets put to they wayside and is left incomplete for a few days (or LONGER)- but as long as my family and I are happy, healthy, and making progress - that is success to me!

One of my goals is to blog everyday.  Even it means just a tiny little blurb.  SO what if it's not perfect? I am doing this for me after all.  If my post goes unread, well then - it goes unread.  Boring to some, but enjoyment for me.  I love looking back on things that I have penned.  Not always pleased with what I've written, but always pleased that I had a moment to.

Blog everyday, even if just a little.
